Part-Time Security OfficerCurrey Ingram Academy is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to join our team upon hiring.Security personnel with a heart for students, school experience, and the desire to be a strong ambassador of the school will be prioritized. Responsibilities include oversight of campus safety and security needs, directing traffic, and patrolling and monitoring the campus to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the campus during afternoon and evening activities and anytime on duty.The schedule for the position is typically Monday through Friday, 3-7 p.m. with event coverage opportunities outside of the daily schedule.Currey Ingram Academy is a co-ed, college-preparatory day and boarding school (JK–12 for day; 9–12 for boarding) located in beautiful Brentwood, TN. We specialize in empowering students with learning differences to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.We offer competitive salaries, excellent benefits, and the chance to be part of a community that values safety, compassion, and professional growth.QualificationsCertified Armed Guard license and active shooter certificate through the State of Tennessee preferredMinimum of a High School diplomaThree years of relevant security experienceAbility to respond to pressures, deadlines, and changing prioritiesDexterity and stamina to perform various jobs (patrol, traffic direction, etc.) for extended periods in adverse weather conditionsMaintains a level of physical fitness necessary for swift and effective response to campus emergenciesStrong communication skillsExperience with technology and security equipmentExperience in the safe handling and employment of firearmsMust maintain a passing score on the semi-annual firearms qualification course utilized by the schoolSalary Range: $30/hour rate
